What is BoomerangSync?

BoomerangSync is a downloadable Microsoft Windows application that enables you to integrate your Microsoft Outlook contacts with BlastWizard. This will allow you to use BlastWizard’s functionality and features to setup and send email campaigns to all or some of your Outlook contacts.

How does it work?

Once the application is installed, click the Sync button from the main screen to trigger the synchronization process. In this process, BoomerangSync will searches for all contact records within the Outlook folders you specify and selects the ones that have email addresses. It will then send these records to your BlastWizard account to update your Outlook lists. If those lists do not exist, BoomerangSync will create new list or lists with the prefix "Outlook_", and segment them based on their Outlook category, if assigned. In the same synchronization instance, any delivery data from jobs that were sent using your Outlook lists will automatically be appended to your Outlook contact records as Journal entries, under the Activities section.

How Much Does It Cost?

BoomerangSync is FREE for anyone who has a BlastWizard account with Boomerang.

How Do I Get It?

You can download BoomerangSync HERE. However you will need a Service Key in order to use the software. Your Service Key is located in the My Account area of BlastWIzard versions 7.1 and above.

How do I install and setup BoomerangSync?

After downloading the software installation package (zip file), please follow these steps to install and setup the application.

Installation

1. Extract the content of the zip file into its own directory then run the ‘setup.exe’ file to start the installation.
2. Click through the introductory screens and select I Agree for the License Agreement when prompted.
3. Select the folder where you want the BoomerangSync to be installed and also indicate whether you want to install the application just for yourself (Just Me) or for everyone (Everyone) who is using your machine. Hit ‘Next’ to start the installation.
4. Once installation is complete, you can go to Windows Start > All Programs > Boomerang to launch BoomerangSync.

Setup
Before you sync you Outlook contacts, you will need to make sure that the following settings are in place:

1. Go to your BoomerangSyn settings by either clicking at on “Settings” button in the bottom right corner of the BoomeranySync window (you can also find it under View > Settings.
2. Copy the service key from your BlastWizard account found under My Account > Password tab and paste it into the Service Key field in the General tab under Boomerang Sync Settings.
3. Select the Outlook contacts folders you want to sync at View Settings > Folders tab.
4. Select contact fields you want to sync at View > Settings > Fields tab.
5. Click on the Sync button at the bottom left of your BoomerangSync window when ready.
