Question
Can I stop an email (or fax) job after I've activated it?
Answer
If you can catch the job before it completes, you can stop the job. To do this, go to the Active Jobs section and click on Stop Selected. Emails that have not yet been sent will not be deducted from your account.
Note: If you stop a job after it's been activated, this will only stop the job from creating any further emails or faxes from the point where you stop it. Because Boomerang creates many emails and faxes up front which get queued, there may be a large number of faxes or emails still queued that have yet to be delivered. So, stopping a job doesn't prevent any further emails or faxes from going out. The queue will continue to empty and the faxes or emails will continue to be delivered until nothing is left to deliver.
If you need the job to stop immediately and also have no further emails or faxes to go out, you will need to contact Customer Care and have them both stop the job and purge the remaining queue files for that job. Please be sure to ask your Customer Care representative to remove the queued files when stopping the job.
Second Note: Due to the speed of our system and the rapidness of email delivery, it may not be possible to completely purge all currently delivering emails from the system.
