Why is my job still 'Active'?

Why is my job still listed as 'Active'? Its about an hour since I activated it. Are my emails being delivered?

Answer

As soon as you activate the job, and if the scheduled start time has been reached, BlastWizard will immediately start sending out your emails. So the list is 'blasted' out within minutes. However you will see that the job is still on Active Jobs screen for a while because we are now applying sophisticated delivery techniques to re-attempt certain softbounces.

Ever heard of 'Greylisting'? This kind of bounce happens when the receiving mail server rejects email, asking specifically to reattempt. Boomerang recognizes this and reattempts it after the initial blast, till it is succesfully sent. All this and much more is done as part of the 'Retry' mechanism that kicks in after the intial list is sent out.
